Dan has 40 years of experience in business and a MBA, which gives him a strong background in general business management. Dan's focus has always been marketing and sales. He has been an executive in a large corporate environment, a General Manager of a regional family owned (not his) retail enterprise and owned his own companies. A believer in giving back to the community Dan is President of the local chapter of the American Marketing Association. Previously, he was the founding board member and pro-bono business manager for a youth sports organization that emphasizes character development.
Ashby began making movies professionally in 1995. For the past 16.5 years he's been neck deep in every aspect of Post Production. He has been the lead Finisher for International Broadcast Commercials and has worked with Agencies as a Flame Artist, an Editor, VFX and Retouch Compositor, Colorist, and all around "Fix it in Post" saver of the day - Deliver the impossible. You can still find him behind the camera as a Visual Effects Supervisor. He loves what he does; it radiates off him.
Steve was born in Charlottesville, Va. He served in US Navy aboard a nuclear submarine for 4 years and graduated from James Madison University. Steve worked in Washington, DC, for C-Span Television for 15 years, then returned to Charlottesville to work for Paladin Media Group in 1999. He is married to Kathy Carpenter, has 3 sons and a daughter-in-law.
After earning a degree in Music from Virginia Tech in 2004, Leslie found herself at Paladin. She is the second longest-running employee, having been here since 2006. During her time here, she has worn just about every hat in the building. Her current hats are those of HR, Bookkeeping, Tax Accounting, Payroll, Communications Director, Cheerleader, and Queen of the World. In addition to all this, she’s also “mom” at home to two wonderful kids and “wife” to a loving husband of 13 years.
Kent C. Williamson is the founder of Paladin Pictures, Inc. and the Paladin Media Group, a film and video production company located in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is also the founder of the Community Films Foundation, a non-profit that connects filmmakers with mission organizations who need help telling their stories.
Kent's EMMY® nominated film By War & By God won Best of Show, the Human Spirit Award, Best Direction, and Best Editing at the Docs Without Borders Film Festival as well as several awars at other various festivals around the country. His films include the dramatic featureWhen Love Walks In,the thought-provoking documentary Rebellion of Thought; Postmodernism, the Church, and the Struggle for Authentic Faith, as well as the extremely controversial documentary Stained Glass Rainbows.
He and his bride have six kids and together they live within sight of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
