“REBELLION OF THOUGHT” TO SCREEN AT GIDEON FILM FESTIVAL

The film will be available in select stores nationwide on Tuesday, November 13th. The Brothers Williamson (Brad & Kent C. Williamson) interviewed some of the world’s leading theological minds as well as the common man-on-the-street about post-modern thought and how it impacts faith. Kent C. PALADIN MEDIA GROUP’S CONTROVERSIAL DOCUMENTARY “REBELLION OF THOUGHT” TO SCREEN AT AREA CHURCH

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – November 27th, 2006 - Paladin Media Group and the Brothers Williamson will screen their controversial documentary Rebellion of Thought at the Hinton Avenue United Methodist Church, Sunday December 3rd at 7pm. This free event will be open to the public and will be followed by a discussion with the film’s director, Kent C. Williamson.

The film premiered last month to a sold out crowd at the 19th annual Virginia Film Festival. In attendance was Hinton Avenue pastor Edward Hopkins, who, as a result of seeing the film, extended an invitation to the Brothers Williamson to bring the film to his church. Hopkins has since preached on the film’s topic and although he doesn’t agree with everything presented in the film he believes the conversation is so important he wants people to see it and to join in the dialogue.

PALADIN PICTURES SEEKS MUSIC FOR “REBELLION OF THOUGHT”

Charlottesville, Virginia – July 26, 2006 - Charlottesville-based media company Paladin Pictures and The Brothers Williamson are currently seeking music for inclusion in their latest film Rebellion of Thought. This controversial documentary explores the role of faith in a post-modern culture and is set to make its world premiere this October at the Virginia Film Festival.

A wide variety of musical styles are needed for this project and Paladin hopes to put together another award- winning soundtrack. Paladin Pictures To Film Documentary In muskogee, Oklahoma

Charlottesville, Virginia – April 14, 2005 – Virginia-based media company Paladin Pictures and The Brothers Williamson will be filming for their documentary Rebellion of Thought in Muskogee, Oklahoma during the Bare Bones International Film Festival, April 18th-24th. Rebellion of Thought is a challenging and thought-provoking film that examines the issue of faith in a post-modern culture and considers the Church’s role in such an environment. The Brother Williamson have traveled around the country gathering insight from dozens of notable philosophers, theologians, artists, professors, and “men on the street” to compile a variety of viewpoints on the question of Truth and its existence.

The production of Rebellion of Thought has been has a profound impact on filmmakers themselves. Kent C. Williamson of The Brothers Williamson explains, “Working on the film Rebellion of Thought has dramatically altered my outlook on how people in America live out their faith. The culture has changed us, technology has changed us, but what about faith… has it changed us? The Church must change. Not it’s message, but it’s methods. It’s message must never change, but it’s methods must.”

The filmmakers will continue gathering viewpoints for Rebellion of Thought during their week in Muskogee, as they are scheduled to film in Jasper’s Restaurant on West Okmulgee at noon on Wednesday, April 20th. They will make appearances in a variety of other venues during the week, as well. The stop in Oklahoma will raise the number of states visited for filming purposes to a half-dozen, and Alabama will be added to the list in the week following the Bare Bones Film Festival, where the Brothers Williamson plan to film segments at the infamous bridge in Selma.

The Brothers Williamson will enjoy one of their completed projects during their stay in Muskogee, as well—the feature film When Love Walks In.  When Love Walks In has been nominated for five festival awards and will premiere at the filmmaker’s welcome event on Thursday, April 21st at 8:00 p.m. in the Roxy Theatre. The film is the first of only two full-length motion pictures that have been allotted a second screening time during the festival, which will be held Saturday, April 23rd, 10:15 p.m. at the Muskogee Civic Center Cinema.  The Brothers Williamson and Paladin Pictures will also hold a seminar entitled “Secrets of No-Budget Filmmaking” on Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Civic Center Cinema, Venue C.

Paladin Pictures Begins Production of Rebellion Of Thought

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - June 13, 2001 – Paladin Pictures, LLC has begun principal photography on a film series by the Brothers Williamson titled Rebellion of Thought: An Exploration of Post-Modernity.

This in-depth look at post-modern culture will examine the effectiveness of contemporary evangelical methods and practices over three hour-long episodes. It will include interviews with D.A. Carson (The Gagging of God), Gene Edward Veith, Jr. (Post-Modern Times: A Christian Guide to Contemporary Thought and Culture), Os Guinness (Senior Fellow, Trinity Forum, author Living with our Deepest Differences), Richard Horner (Director, Pascal Center), Ken Myers (Mars Hill Audio) and other professors and laymen from Wheaton College, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Concordia University, Calvin College, Taylor University, Regent University, and the University of Virginia.

Episode one, “This is the Lord the Day Hath Made”, will define post-modernism and look at how our culture evolved into its current state of Godlessness. It is currently scheduled for completion in the early fall of 2001. Episodes two and three will examine the need for God in a post-modern world, the ineffectiveness of modern evangelical practices, and will attempt to provide practical solutions as to how the Church can better reach those lost within a post-modern world. These episodes are slated for late 2001 to early 2002 release.

Initial release of Rebellion of Thought will be on videotape with a planned follow-up release on DVD in mid-to-late 2002. Paladin Pictures is currently seeking distribution and pre-sales for the series.

The Brothers Williamson are Brad Williamson (Producer) and Kent C. Williamson (Producer/Director). Their other collaborations include Paladin Pictures soon to be released dramatic motion picture When Love Walks In.
